Bahá'í Terraces

The Bahá'í Terraces are a series of 19 manicured gardens that ascend the slope of Mount Carmel. Visitors go here to see the symmetrical landscaping and the Shrine of the Báb, which is located on the central terrace. The site provides a vantage point for viewing the city of Haifa and the Mediterranean coast.

Getting There

The gardens are located in the lower part of Haifa. From the city centre, you can reach the site via local bus or taxi. The travel time typically ranges from 10 to 20 minutes depending on traffic conditions.

Duration of Visit

Allow approximately 2 to 3 hours to walk through the terraces and visit the central shrine. The time required depends on whether you choose to walk the full length of the gardens or focus on the central sections.

When to Visit

Early morning or late afternoon is recommended to avoid the midday heat. The gardens are popular with tourists and can get crowded, particularly during peak travel seasons. It is advisable to visit during the spring when the flora is in bloom.
