What It Is

Raudondvaris Castle is a Gothic-Renaissance manor estate in the village of Raudondvaris, near Kaunas. The complex includes a red-brick manor house, an orangery, stables, and park grounds. Visitors come to explore the architecture of a former noble residence and walk the surrounding paths.

Getting There

The estate is located about 10 kilometers northwest of central Kaunas. Driving or taking a taxi takes approximately 15 to 20 minutes. Suburban buses depart from Kaunas bus station toward Raudondvaris, taking around 25 to 30 minutes followed by a short walk.

Time to Spend

Plan for 1.5 to 2 hours. This allows enough time to see the main buildings, tour exhibition rooms, and stroll through the park.

When to Visit

Late spring to early autumn is best for walking around the grounds. Weekdays are typically quiet, while summer weekends can be crowded with local visitors, private events, and photo sessions.
