Overview

Fabiani Bridge is a two-level structure spanning the Ljubljanica River in downtown Ljubljana. Opened in 2012 to complete the city center's ring road, it separates motor vehicles on the upper deck from pedestrians and cyclists on the lower level. Travelers visit to see its double-deck engineering and enjoy river views away from crowded tourist areas.

Getting There

Located on the eastern edge of the central district, the crossing is an easy 10 to 15-minute walk from Prešeren Square along the riverbanks.

Allow 10 to 15 minutes to walk across the pedestrian deck, view the water, and take photos of the structure.

When to Visit

The pedestrian level rarely gets crowded at any point during the year. Daytime hours provide clear views along the river corridor. The upper deck carries standard road traffic, which picks up during weekday morning and late afternoon commute hours.
