Loreta

Loreta is a pilgrimage site located in the Hradčany district of Prague. It consists of a bell-tower façade that leads into a courtyard containing a cloister, a chapel, and the Church of the Nativity. Visitors go here to see the religious architecture and experience the quiet atmosphere of the courtyard.

Getting There

The site is located on the hill above the city centre. You can reach it by taking a tram to the Pohořelec stop, followed by a short walk. From the central district, the journey typically takes 20 to 30 minutes depending on the transport method.

Allow approximately 1 to 2 hours to walk through the courtyard, visit the chapel, and view the church interior.

When to Visit

Visiting during the early morning or late afternoon helps avoid the peak flow of tourists. While it is generally quieter than the main castle complex, it can still get crowded during the summer months and on weekends.
