Independence Gate

Located within Independence Park in Seoul, this stone arch was constructed to commemorate the sovereign independence of the Korean Empire. It was established through the efforts of the Independence Club and Seo Jae-pil. Visitors go here to view the monument and learn about the political history of Korea's transition toward independence.
