Overview

Kaštela Bay is a large inlet along the Adriatic Sea situated between Split and Trogir. Flanked by historic coastal settlements, it offers an expansive shoreline suitable for seaside walking, cycling, and waterfront relaxation away from dense urban traffic.

Getting There

From central Split, the area is reachable by local bus or car heading northwest along the coast. The trip generally takes 20 to 30 minutes depending on traffic.

Recommended Duration

Allow 1 to 3 hours to walk along the promenade, rest by the water, and explore parts of the adjoining coastal villages.

When to Visit

Late spring to early autumn offers the most comfortable weather for outdoor walks. Early morning or late afternoon visits help avoid midday sun. The shorelines can get crowded with swimmers during peak summer months, whereas the off-season is very quiet.
