The Statue of David of Sasun

This bronze equestrian monument is located in a round pool in the square facing Yerevan's central railway station. Created by sculptor Yervand Kochar and erected in 1959, it depicts David, the protagonist of a traditional Armenian epic. Visitors go here to see a significant piece of national art and a symbol of Armenian folklore.

Getting There

The statue is situated at the central railway station, which is located slightly outside the immediate city center. From the center of Yerevan, you can reach the site via taxi or public transport. The trip typically takes 10 to 15 minutes depending on traffic.
