元寇史料館（げんこうしりょうかん）は、福岡市博多区東公園内に存在する博物館である。
What it is
The Genkō Historical Museum is a small local museum focused on the Mongol invasions of Japan in the 13th century, which landed on the coast around present-day Fukuoka. Exhibits center on the "genkō bōrui," the stone defensive wall built along Hakata Bay to repel the invading fleets, along with related artifacts and displays explaining the battles and the wall's construction. Getting there
The museum sits in the Higashi ward area near Hakozaki, within easy reach of central Fukuoka (Tenjin or Hakata) by subway on the Kaizuka Line to Hakozaki-area stations, followed by a short walk. Allow roughly 20-30 minutes total from the city centre depending on your starting point and connections.
Time to allow
Given its size, an hour is generally enough to see the exhibits at a comfortable pace.
When to go
As a smaller, specialist museum, it typically doesn't draw large crowds, so there's little need to plan around peak times. It works well as a quieter stop earlier or later in the day.
