Located 9 km off the coast of Bahrain's main island in Al-Muharraq, Nurana consists of two man-made islands. Travelers visit this location to experience an island environment and view the open sea away from the urban center.

Getting There

Access to the islands requires a boat trip from the mainland Al-Muharraq. Depending on the departure point and boat speed, the transit typically takes between 15 to 30 minutes.

Duration of Visit

A half-day visit is generally sufficient to explore the islands and spend time by the water. Most visitors allocate 3 to 5 hours for the round trip and stay.

When to Visit

The most suitable time to visit is during the cooler months from November to March to avoid the extreme heat of the Gulf summer. Morning visits are recommended to avoid the midday sun. The islands are less crowded on weekdays compared to weekends.
