Lake Anosy
Lake Anosy is an artificial lake located in the southern part of downtown Antananarivo. It serves as a public space where visitors can walk along the perimeter of the water. It is primarily used by travelers and locals for leisurely strolls to escape the density of the surrounding urban environment.
Getting There
The lake is situated within the city center. Depending on your starting point in downtown Antananarivo, it is accessible via a short taxi ride or a walk of approximately 10 to 20 minutes.
Duration of Visit
Most visitors spend between 45 minutes and 1.5 hours here, which is sufficient time to walk the full loop around the lake.
When to Visit
The area is most active during the day. Like many central public spaces in the capital, it can become crowded during weekends and public holidays. To avoid the heaviest crowds, visit on a weekday morning.
