About the Museum

Established in 1970 in the Isoraka district of Antananarivo, the University of Madagascar's Museum of Art and Archaeology houses collections dedicated to the cultural and archaeological history of Madagascar. Travellers visit to see archaeological finds, traditional crafts, funerary objects, and ethnographic materials that document historical settlements and regional traditions across the island.
