Akshardham

This is a large Hindu temple complex managed by BAPS. Visitors go here to see traditional Indian stone carving and architecture integrated with modern construction. The site features a central monument, gardens, and exhibition halls detailing spiritual and cultural themes.

Getting There

The complex is located in East Delhi. From the city centre, you can reach it via the Delhi Metro or by taxi. Depending on traffic and your starting point, the journey typically takes between 30 and 60 minutes.

Time Required

Allow approximately 3 to 5 hours to walk through the grounds, view the sculptures, and visit the exhibitions. Security screenings at the entrance can add to the total time spent on-site.

When to Visit

The site gets crowded, particularly on weekends and public holidays. Visiting during the cooler months from October to March is advisable to avoid the extreme heat of the Delhi summer. Arriving early in the day helps in avoiding the longest queues.
