The Fukuoka Mosque, officially the Fukuoka Masjid Al Nour Islamic Culture Center, is a mosque located in Hakozaki, Higashi-ku, in the city of Fukuoka, in the Fukuoka Prefecture of Japan. Opened on 12 April 2009, it was the first mosque on the island of Kyūshū. Fukuoka Mosque serves the approximately 1,000 Muslims in the prefecture.

Shōfuku-ji (聖福寺) is a Buddhist temple located in the Gokushōmachi neighborhood of Hakata, Fukuoka, Japan. It belongs to the Rinzai school Myōshin-ji-branch of Japanese Zen. Its sangō prefix is Ankokuzan (安国山). It was founded by Eisai with support from Minamoto no Yoritomo, and is the oldest Zen temple in Japan. Its precincts were designated a National Historic Site in 1969.

Hakata Bay

Hakata Bay is a bay in the northwestern part of Fukuoka city, on the Japanese island of Kyūshū. It faces the Tsushima Strait, and features beaches and a port, though parts of the bay have been reclaimed in the expansion of the city of Fukuoka. The bay is near the site of the Mongol invasions of Japan of 1274 and 1281; both invasions are sometimes referred to as the "Battle of Hakata Bay."
