KV15: Tomb of Seti II

KV15 is an ancient Egyptian royal tomb located in the Valley of the Kings. Built for the 19th Dynasty pharaoh Seti II, the site provides a direct example of the architectural style and decorative art used in royal burials of that era. Travelers visit this site to observe the wall reliefs and the layout of a New Kingdom pharaonic tomb.

Getting There

The tomb is located on the West Bank of the Nile. From Luxor city centre, you must cross the river via ferry or bridge and travel by taxi or hired vehicle to the Valley of the Kings. The journey typically takes 20 to 30 minutes depending on traffic and the crossing method.

Visit Duration

Allow approximately 45 to 60 minutes to explore the interior of the tomb and examine the carvings.

Planning Your Visit

The Valley of the Kings is an open desert environment with little shade. Visiting in the early morning is recommended to avoid peak midday heat. The area can become crowded with tour groups, particularly during the winter peak season from November to February.
