KV19: The Tomb of a Prince

KV19 is an ancient Egyptian tomb located in the Valley of the Kings in Luxor. Originally intended for Ramesses VIII, it was ultimately used for another prince. Visitors go here to see the elaborate wall decorations, which remain significant despite the tomb being left unfinished.

Getting There

The tomb is located on the West Bank of the Nile. From Luxor city centre, you must cross the river via ferry or bridge and then travel by taxi or hired vehicle to the Valley of the Kings. The journey typically takes 20 to 30 minutes depending on traffic.

Allow approximately 30 to 60 minutes to explore the interior of the tomb and examine the remaining artwork.
