KV43: Tomb of Thutmose IV

KV43 is the burial site of Pharaoh Thutmose IV, located within the Valley of the Kings in Luxor. Excavated by Howard Carter in 1903, the tomb is characterized by an L-shaped layout. Visitors go here to see the architectural style and decorative elements typical of the early 18th Dynasty of ancient Egypt.

Getting There

The tomb is located on the West Bank of the Nile. From Luxor city centre, you must cross the river via ferry or bridge and then travel by taxi or hired vehicle to the Valley of the Kings. The journey typically takes 20 to 30 minutes depending on traffic and the crossing method.
