It's not a major pilgrimage or art-history destination, but it's a working parish church with a richly decorated Baroque interior, and it's worth a look if you're already passing through this part of the centre — which most visitors are, since it sits between the Royal Palace and the Teatro di San Carlo.
Getting there
It's in the pedestrian heart of Naples, an easy walk from most central hotels. From Piazza Municipio or the Municipio metro station it's about 5-10 minutes on foot. If you're coming from the waterfront or Piazza del Plebiscito, it's only a couple of minutes across the square.
How long to spend
A visit to the interior typically takes 15-20 minutes, longer if you want to look closely at the side chapels and decoration. It works well as a short stop rather than a planned excursion.
When to go
Piazza Trieste e Trento itself is busy at almost any hour, especially around the famous Gran Caffè Gambrinus on its edge, but the church interior tends to be quiet. Mornings are generally calmer if you want fewer people inside. Avoid visiting during Mass times if you simply want to look around, since it's an active place of worship.

This is one of the most convenient spots in Naples for combining sights on foot.
