Shanti Stupa

The Shanti Stupa is a Buddhist monument located on Anadu Hill in Pokhara, Nepal. Visitors go here to observe the white dome architecture and view the surrounding landscape of the Kaski district from an elevated vantage point.

Getting There

The stupa is located on a hill above the main city area. Travelers typically reach the site via a taxi or a local vehicle to the base of the hill, followed by a walk up the slope. Depending on the starting point in the city centre and the pace of the climb, the journey generally takes 30 to 60 minutes.

Time Allotment

Allow approximately 1.5 to 3 hours for a visit. This includes the time required to walk up the hill, explore the monument grounds, and descend back to the transport point.

When to Visit

Early morning or late afternoon are the preferred times to visit to avoid the midday heat. The site can get crowded during peak tourist seasons and on public holidays. It is advisable to visit during the clear weather windows of autumn and spring for better visibility of the surrounding area.
