Gorfion
Gorfion is a mountain peak in the Rätikon range, situated on the border between Liechtenstein and Austria. Reaching an elevation of 2,308 meters, it is visited by hikers and mountaineers seeking views of the Alps.
Getting There
To reach the peak from Vaduz city centre, travelers typically drive or take a bus to the mountain resort of Malbun. From Malbun, the summit is accessible via marked hiking trails. The total travel time from the city centre to the trailhead is approximately 30 to 40 minutes, followed by several hours of hiking depending on the route chosen.
Time Requirement
Depending on the starting point and the hiker's pace, allow a full day for the ascent and descent. A round trip from the nearest accessible trails generally requires 4 to 6 hours.
When to Visit
The peak is accessible during the summer and autumn months when snow levels are low enough for hiking. In winter, the area is covered in snow and requires specialized alpine equipment.
