ヴェネツィア広場

ヴェネツィア広場 は、イタリア・ローマにある広場。広場に面したヴェネツィア宮殿にちなんで名付けられた。広場は、カンピドリオの丘のふもとにあり、フォロ・ロマーノも近くにある。また、目の前にヴィットーリオ・エマヌエーレ2世記念堂がそびえ立っている。
Piazza Venezia
Piazza Venezia is the traffic hub where several of Rome's main streets meet, including Via dei Fori Imperiali and Via del Corso. The square takes its name from Palazzo Venezia, built for the Venetian Cardinal Pietro Barbo next to the church of San Marco and later used as the Republic of Venice's embassy in Rome. Most visitors come here on their way to the Altare della Patria, whose white marble bulk dominates one side of the square, or simply pass through it while walking between the historic centre and the Roman Forum area.
Getting there
From the centre of Rome, Piazza Venezia is walkable from most major sights: it's about 10-15 minutes on foot from the Pantheon or Trevi Fountain, and roughly 5 minutes from the Roman Forum entrance. Several bus lines converge here as well.
How much time to allow
The square itself only takes a few minutes to see, but people usually pause here longer to look at the Altare della Patria or take photos before continuing on to nearby sites.
When to go
Traffic around the square is heavy for most of the day, and it can feel crowded and noisy, especially in the afternoon. Early morning is calmer if you want fewer people in photos.
