One Raffles Place
ワン・ラッフルズ・プレイス とは、シンガポール共和国の中央地区ラッフルズ・プレイスに位置する超高層ビルである。
What it is
One Raffles Place is a two-tower office and retail complex in the heart of the Central Business District. The taller of the two, Tower One, rises to about 280 metres and is one of the taller buildings in the CBD skyline. There's no public observation deck here — most visitors come for the podium's shops and restaurants, or simply pass through as part of a walk around the financial district, rather than to go up the tower itself.
Getting there
It sits directly above Raffles Place MRT station (North-South and East-West lines), so from most parts of central Singapore it's a straightforward 10-20 minute train ride. If you're coming from Marina Bay or the Civic District, it's also an easy 10-15 minute walk.
Time to allow
Since this is a working office building rather than a sightseeing attraction, 20-30 minutes is enough to walk through the podium retail area or grab a meal, unless you're specifically shopping or dining there.
When to go
This is a weekday business district — expect it to feel busiest and most lively on weekday lunch hours and early evenings as office workers move through, and comparatively quiet on weekends when many shops and eateries nearby scale back. Weekday rush hours around the MRT interchange can also get crowded.
Combine it with
Republic Plaza, another CBD tower, is just 0.2km away. For a change of pace, Merlion Park (0.5km) and the Asian Civilisations Museum (0.4km) along the riverside make an easy extension of the walk, and the historic Thian Hock Keng temple (0.5km) is also within easy reach.
