St. Theodore's Church
St. Theodore's Church is an Albanian Orthodox place of worship located within the walls of Berat Castle. It is one of approximately 20 churches found inside the fortress and was designated as a cultural monument in 1948. Visitors go here to see the religious architecture and historical preservation of the site while exploring the castle grounds.

Allow approximately 30 to 60 minutes to view the church and its immediate surroundings.
When to Visit
The site is accessible throughout the year. To avoid the midday heat during the summer months, morning or late afternoon visits are recommended. The castle area can become crowded during peak tourist seasons.
