Around Santa Maria Novella station

Streets east and south of SMN sit within a 10-15 minute walk of the Duomo, with direct access to day-trip trains. Suits travelers who prioritize train access; the station area is busier and less atmospheric at night.

Duomo and historic centre

Between the Duomo and Piazza della Signoria, sights and restaurants sit within walking distance, at the cost of a 10-20 minute walk with luggage to SMN. Streets are pedestrian-heavy and can be noisy near nightlife.
