Nurana Islands
The Nurana Islands consist of two artificial islands situated 9km west of Manama. Visitors go here to experience a planned island landscape and the coastal environment of the Persian Gulf, located east of Northern City.
Getting There
The islands are accessible from Manama city centre via car or taxi. The drive typically takes about 15 to 20 minutes depending on traffic conditions.
Duration of Visit
Depending on the activity, allow 2 to 4 hours to explore the area and the surrounding coastline.
When to Visit
The most suitable time to visit is during the cooler months from November to March to avoid the extreme summer heat. Early morning or late afternoon is recommended to avoid peak midday temperatures.
