Nha Trang → Da Nang 438 km as the crow flies

At about 438 km, this is too far for a comfortable direct bus or train ride to be most travellers' first choice, so flying between Da Nang and Cam Ranh (Nha Trang's airport) is the default for anyone short on time. Travellers with more flexibility often take the overnight train or sleeper bus along the coast instead, since both run direct and let them skip a hotel night.

  • flight · about 1 hour in the air, plus airport time Direct flights connect Da Nang International Airport (DAD) and Cam Ranh International Airport (CXR), which is roughly a 30 to 45 minute transfer from central Nha Trang.
  • train · about 9 to 10 hours Reunification Express trains run directly between Da Nang and Nha Trang along the coast, with overnight sleeper berths a common choice.
  • bus · about 10 to 11 hours Overnight sleeper buses run direct between the two cities and are a common budget option, departing from each city's main bus stations.
  • car · about 8 to 9 hours Private car or hired driver follows the coastal highway; used mainly by those wanting to stop along the way rather than as a direct point-to-point option.
