Pécs TV Tower
Pécs TV Tower
Located on Misina Peak in the Mecsek Mountains, this 197-meter structure is the tallest building in Hungary. Visitors go here to access the observation deck at 75 meters for a wide view of the city and surrounding landscape. The level at 72 meters houses a restaurant and a dinosaur exhibition.
Getting There
The tower is situated on a peak outside the city center. Visitors typically reach the site via local bus or by car. The journey from the center of Pécs takes approximately 15 to 20 minutes depending on traffic and transport mode.
Duration of Visit
Allow roughly 1.5 to 3 hours for a visit. This provides enough time to ascend to the observation deck, visit the exhibition, and explore the dinosaur exhibition on the restaurant level.
When to Visit
The site is accessible year-round. Visiting during peak summer months and weekends, the observation deck can become crowded. Visiting during weekday mornings generally avoids the largest crowds.
