Tubes Peak
Tubes is the second-highest peak in the Mecsek Mountains, reaching an elevation of 611 meters. Visitors go here for hiking and to view the surrounding landscape of the Pécs region from a high vantage point.
Getting There
The peak is located on the outskirts of Pécs. You can reach the area via local bus or by car from the city centre. Depending on the chosen trail and mode of transport, the journey and ascent typically take between 45 minutes to 1.5 hours.
Duration of Visit
Allow approximately 2 to 4 hours for a visit. This includes the time required to hike up the mountain, spend time at the summit, and return to the starting point.
When to Visit
The site is accessible year-round, though spring and autumn offer the most moderate temperatures for hiking. Mornings are generally quieter. Like most nature trails, it can become more crowded during weekends and public holidays.
