遺跡・記念物

最後の晩餐

「最後の晩餐」は、レオナルド・ダ・ヴィンチが1495年から1498年頃に描いた壁画で、サンタ・マリア・デッレ・グラツィエ修道院の食堂(レフェットリオ)の壁に当時のまま残されています。イエスが十二使徒との最後の食事の場で「あなたがたのうちの一人が私を裏切る」と告げた直後の瞬間を描いており、遠近法の使用と人物一人ひとりの表情・仕草の描写で広く知られています。

ミラノ大聖堂

ミラノ大聖堂(ドゥオーモ)は聖母マリアの誕生に捧げられたローマ・カトリックの大聖堂で、ミラノ大司教区の司教座聖堂です。精緻な尖塔と彫像で覆われたファサードや、ステンドグラスで満たされた内部空間を一目見ようと多くの人が訪れます。屋上テラスに上がれば尖塔を間近に眺められ、晴れた日には市街の眺望も楽しめます。

文化・劇場

スカラ座

ラ・スカラ座は、ミラノにある由緒あるオペラ劇場で、1778年8月3日の開場当時は「ヌオーヴォ・レージョ・ドゥカーレ・テアトロ・アッラ・スカラ」という名称で呼ばれていました。こけら落とし公演はアントニオ・サリエリの「見出されたエウローパ」でした。現在もオペラ、バレエ、クラシック公演が行われる現役の劇場で、豪華な客席と舞台をその目で見るだけでも訪れる価値があります。

サンタ・マリア・デッレ・グラツィエ教会

サンタ・マリア・デッレ・グラツィエは、ミラノにあるドミニコ会の教会兼修道院で、ユネスコ世界遺産に登録されています。ここを訪れる最大の理由は、修道院付属の食堂(チェナーコロ)の壁に描かれたレオナルド・ダ・ヴィンチの「最後の晩餐」です。

城・宮殿

スフォルツェスコ城

スフォルツェスコ城は、15世紀にミラノ公フランチェスコ・スフォルツァが14世紀の要塞跡に築いた城で、その後大規模に拡張されヨーロッパ屈指の規模を誇る城塞となりました。19世紀末から20世紀初頭にかけてルカ・ベルトラミによる大規模な修復を経て現在の姿になり、現在は複数の博物館や美術コレクションが収められています。

ガッレリア・ヴィットーリオ・エマヌエーレ2世

ミラノ大聖堂広場のすぐ隣にあるガラス屋根のアーケードで、現在も営業を続けるイタリア最古のショッピングギャラリーです。十字に交差する通路の両側に4階建ての建物が並び、鉄骨とガラスによるドーム型の屋根と床のモザイク装飾が特徴です。

博物館・美術館

ブレラ絵画館

ブレラ絵画館は、ミラノを代表する絵画専門の美術館で、13世紀から20世紀に至るイタリア絵画のコレクションを所蔵しています。ブレラ美術アカデミーと共用するパラッツォ・ブレラ内にあり、イタリア各地から集められた宗教画やルネサンスの巨匠たちの作品を一堂に見ることができるため、イタリア美術史の流れを学ぶのに適した場所です。

ピレリ・タワー

ピレリタワーは、32階建て、高さ127メートルを誇るミラノを代表する高層ビルです。細長い独特の平面構造により、見る角度によって建物の印象が大きく変わるのが特徴です。
