My Khe and My An Beach

Closest to downtown and the Han River bridges. Resorts here are a short ride from restaurants and the airport, good for beach time without giving up city access. It's the most built-up stretch, so villas sit closer together than further south.

Non Nuoc Beach, near Marble Mountains

South of My Khe, this is where the larger resort and pool-villa complexes sit, set back from the road with more grounds per property. It suits travelers who want privacy over walkability, and sits roughly midway between the city and Hoi An's Ancient Town.

Son Tra Peninsula

North of the main beach, backing onto Son Tra Mountain. More secluded and nature-facing, but further from restaurants and nightlife, with limited road lighting after dark.

Transport and sights

There's no metro; taxis, Grab and motorbike taxis cover all three areas. Grab shows fares upfront and is usually cheaper than a street taxi. Ba Na Hills needs a car for the mountain road; Hoi An is easiest from Non Nuoc or by fixed-fare taxi.

• Whether the pool is heated — wet-season temperatures (roughly October–January) make unheated pools cold.
• Whether the pool is private and screened, or visible from neighboring units.
• Distance from the villa to the beach and main building — some resorts need a shuttle.
